Parkway still search for first win after 8 goal thriller!

Parkways first league win of the season continues despite leading 4-1 at the Memorial ground.

A frantic first half would set the tone for another up and down afternoon for the Yellows who found themselves 1-0 after 7 minutes. Billy Palfrey’s in swinging free kick would deceive Desbois in the Row goal as Parkway forged ahead.

The Row would be level shortly after as Callum Rose agonisingly found his own net following good work from the hosts down the left-hand side.

Despite neither team managing to get a foot hold in the game, it would be Parkway that made the clinical breakthrough. Ryan Lane, who was exemplary all afternoon, latched onto a Jack Crago cross to restore Parkways advantage.

Ryan Lane would be involved in Parkway’s third minutes later as the full back slipped Jack Crago through. The winger would round the keeper and finish well from close range.

A 4th would soon follow, again involving Lane and Crago as the pair linked well to find Ben Seymour in the box who first time finish sent Parkway into the break 4-1 up.

As with Parkway’s season to date, the advantage would be tested. The Row began the 2nd half quickly and found an early goal as Anis Nuur finished well. Moments later, Hartley were awarded a penalty and a cruel Kyle Moore ricochet off the post would pull Wintney back into the game.

Despite a valiant rear guard, backs to the wall display for the remainder of the second half, Parkway would hold on until the 97th minute and a disputed penalty decision would see captain Harry Cooksley find the net to seal a superb second half fightback.

Parkway return to Plymouth next Tuesday as they welcome Salisbury to Bolitho Park.
