Can Parkway bounce back after FA Cup exit?

Harrow Borough vs PArkway | Match Preview

by ALex Haynes

Plymouth Parkway turn their focus back to league football this Saturday when they take on Harrow Borough at The Rogers Family Stadium.

After a disappointing but entertaining loss to Frome Town in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup, Parkway will be eager to return to league football and get more points on the board.

The Yellows have been involved in four cup fixtures in the last five matches. Their most recent league game was a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Hanwell Town eleven days ago. The congested schedule can be punishing, but the squad will be ready to go again come Saturday.

The Boro sit one place above the relegation zone with five points from eight games. Parkway are one point behind them, but have a game-in-hand. It might still be early in the season, but this will be an important game for both teams as they try to gain a foothold in the league table.

Last season, Parkway did the double over Boro starting with a hard-fought 1-0 away win. The lads then went on to secure an impressive 4-0 victory at Bolitho, with captain Ryan Lane among the goal scorers that day.

There are no easy games in this league. This one promises to be yet another close encounter with a team that are looking to climb up the table just like us. With a full-strength squad, Parkway will go in search of their first league win since the end of August.
