Back home in the Saturday Sunshine

By Rob Kershaw

Following two consecutive defeats, Parkway look to get back to winning ways as they face off against Hanwell Town at Bolitho on Saturday.

The 3-0 defeat in Swindon in midweek was our first outing since the 4-0 loss at the hands of Chesham in March, so Lee Hobbs’ squad will be keen to make a statement in the Ocean City.

Hanwell have not been on the prettiest of form themselves, losing each of their last three and shipping eight goals in the process. Both sides need a result on Saturday.

We may be hungry, but we can be fairly certain the visitors will be too. They sit 15th in the table and 10 points above the drop zone. Relegation should not be an issue for them this season, but they would nonetheless prefer to create some more breathing room.

Victory for the Yellows would be our 11th at home in the league this season.

Past Meetings

We faced off against Hanwell in the capital in December, falling to a 1-0 defeat.

Travel

If you’re travelling down from London on Saturday, it will take around three hours to head down the M40, the M4 and the M5 past Reading, Swindon, and Bristol before arriving onto the A38. A further three quarters of an hour along the Devon Express way will bring you to St Peters Road

Weather

In an odd surprise, temperatures will climb above 10 Degrees Celsius on Saturday, and plenty of sunshine is expected.
