Bracknell travel to Plymouth as Parkway look to finish on a high

By Rob Kershaw

This is it then. At the end of a remarkable season in football, we are about to bring it to a close in our season finale at Bolitho.

As with any campaign, this one has been full of ups and downs, curveballs, and unexpected turns, and just like every other season, this squad has dealt with it all magnificently.

Where it differs though is the extent of the highs and lows. The start of the season was tough, and we experienced what we already knew would happen when going into a new division.

Once the boys acclimatised though, things started to click. After going winless in our first seven, we picked up our first league victory over Salisbury in September, and we have since added another 15 to the W column.

Our draw with North Leigh last time out helped us up to 10th in the league, and we will aim to consolidate that and tail off what has been a fantastic comeback from the beginning of the term.

We face off against Bracknell on Saturday, and they are in fine fettle heading into the weekend. The Berkshire side have won seven of their last 10, claiming a 1-0 win away at the Met Police last time out. They are second in the division and have already secured a play-off spot at the end of the season – Lee Hobbs’ men will have their eyes on that prize next year.

Past Meetings

We faced off against Bracknell back in December and took a point from Greater London in one of three 0-0 draws in the league this season.

Travel

If you’re travelling down from Bracknell, the M4 and the M5 is your best bet. Around three hours will bring you past Reading, Swindon, and Exeter, before following the A38 down to Bolitho. For information on club-arranged travel, please contact Bracknell directly.

Weather

In keeping with the nightmare weather, we’ve had all season, there is a high chance of rain ahead of kick-off on Saturday.
