Parkway welcome a resurgent North Leigh side to Bolitho this Saturday

By Rob Kershaw

Well, it happened again. Once again, the atrocious weather we have been surrounded by in the last few months claimed another fixture in this rain-blighted campaign, leaving us with another new date on the books.

Here’s hoping that this weekend’s encounter with North Leigh does not fall victim to the elements as we prepare for our 35th league game of the season.

North Leigh have taken three points in six of their last 11 games, and two of their last five. They head into the weekend off the back of a 2-0 win over Weston Super-Mare last Saturday, and their recent run of form has helped them get closer to safety.

They are still five points away from escaping the relegation zone though, so we are facing a side that need results right now.

For the Yellows, the story remains the same as it did after our 4-0 defeat to Chesham United, leaving us 11th on 49 points.

Past Meetings

We have faced North Leigh twice already this campaign at their place, taking victories in the league and an FA Cup qualifier.

They were tight encounters though. A 3-2 and a 2-1 have come off the back of closely fought games, so Saturday should not be any different.

Travel

If you’re heading down from North Leigh on Saturday, you’re looking at a journey of just over three hours down the M5 past Cheltenham, Gloucester, Bristol, and Exeter.

For information on club-arranged travel, please contact North Leigh via their official channels.

Weather

Lots of rain is anticipated over the weekend, so we will provide updates on the status of the fixture as and when we get them.
