Parkway set to return to Bolitho as they entertain Poole Town

By Rob Kershaw - 26 Jan 2023

It has been a while, hasn’t it? After yet another long old delay, we are ready to take to Bolitho for the first time in 2023.

Our last home fixture was the remarkable 3-3 draw with our ground sharers Truro, but if you had told us that was merely a month ago, we wouldn’t have believed you.

The weather this winter has been truly abysmal but as we come to the end of January, let’s hope the sun starts to make a few more appearances.

Our last two league appearances have ended in 1-0 losses – first to Weston Super Mare, then to the Met police, so goals and points are richly desired.

All being well, two consecutive home games follow, starting this weekend against Poole, before we face off against Beaconsfield Town next Tuesday.

Every time we preview a fixture, we get a little caught up on the league table. But having played just 18 games this campaign, the stipulations of how the next few games will pan out are almost futile. The sole focus is wins and – quintessential of this group of players – battling performances.

Impressively, seven of Poole’s 12 wins this season have come on the road, so this is a side that enjoys travelling, and we’ll need all of that Bolitho support this weekend.

The Dolphins come into their 23rd game of the season fourth in the table, 16 points off leaders Weston.
