Parkway looking to continue their recent good form as Winchester City travel to PL5

Parkway v Winchester City | Match Preview

By Alex Haynes

The new year begins with Plymouth Parkway taking on Winchester City at Bolitho this Saturday afternoon.

More bad weather meant that our match against Poole was postponed last week, so the lads will be looking forward to this one. The handful of postponements over the winter period hasn’t hurt results though as Parkway are in fine form and remain unbeaten in five league games.

Our last result was a dramatic 1-1 draw in the Devon derby against Tiverton Town on Boxing Day. The Yellows have an established track record at home this season, not losing at Bolitho since the 9th of September.

City have put together a respectable unbeaten run themselves recently. They haven’t lost since the end of November, but they have drawn their last four games. The Citizens are 11th with 32 points and have played three more matches than Parkway.

The last time these two sides met, they shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at the City Ground in October. Saturday’s match is an important one for both teams as they look to set the tone for the year and get off to a good start in 2024.
