Parkway prepare for another big test as they head to promotion chasing Poole Town
Poole Town v Parkway | Match PreviewBy Rob Kershaw - 27 February 2023
At the start of the season, these seemed like dizzying heights. But as we head into game number 28 of the season, we find ourselves 13th in the league.
Frankly, the noises from within the squad tell you that the players have always fully believed they would be just fine this season, and things are looking up.
From potential relegation trouble at the start of the campaign, no such dramas face us at the moment, and tails are high after our 2-1 success over Yate at the weekend.
It was out 11th victory of the season and our seventh at home, but will it set us up for a fifth win on the road this campaign?
Our opponents on Tuesday evening are Poole Town, who we beat at home at the end of January.
They sit fourth in the league with 16 wins this campaign, and they have won all of their last three heading into the upcoming meeting.
Seven of their wins have also arrived at home, so our trip east on Tuesday could well toss up an exciting encounter.

Past meetings:
As touched on previously, we took an amazing 4-0 win at home against this week’s opponents, but Yate saw us off by the same score line late last year before we beat them 2-1 last time out. So there is no room for complacency here.
Travel:
The A38, the A30 and the A35 help form a two-and-a-half-hour journey east past Weymouth, stopping just short of Bournemouth to get to our opponents on Tuesday.

There is an increased chance of rain in the evening, but temperatures will remain on the chilly side.
