Plymouth Parkway are set for a Sunday afternoon at Bulpit lane, home of Hungerford Town for another crunch Southern League fixture as Lee Hobbs’ men prepare for a showdown with Swindon Supermarine.
The move to the home of Hungerford Town in West Berkshire is one taken of necessity due to the volume of games remaining and with the season’s end looming large.
It will be a different weekend for Parkway fans as the traditional 3pm Saturday kick-off is changed to a Sunday afternoon 2pm kick-off.
Despite the move to Bulpit Lane, the Full Time club house will be open from 2pm for fans to enjoy the Manchester United vs Liverpool clash that kicks off at 3:30pm.
Parkway are under no illusions and know that nothing more than 3 points will be required in their quest to avoid the drop. The midweek postponement may have caused further scheduling headache’s but it will have given the Parkway players a little respite in what has been a very busy schedule of late.
Following a 2-0 defeat to Bracknell Town, Parkway eventually returned to Bolitho Park and have picked a 2 wins from 2 and sandwiched in between was an important point of the road against Sholing. The Yellows will be hoping to make it 3 wins from 4 and avenge the 3-0 defeat inflicted by Swindon Supermarine back in March at the Webbswood Stadium.
Following that victory over Parkway, Supermarine slipped to a 1-0 defeat to Hendon before two entertaining draws against Hayes & Yeading and Salisbury before returning to winning ways away to bottom side Didcot Town last weekend. Sitting 14th in the table, Supermarine will be looking to complete the double over Parkway to move 3 points further to safety and remain in the Southern Premier South for another season.
