Swindon the next destination as Parkway look for points on the road

Following the cancellation of Tuesday night’s away trip to Poole, another relatively short visit awaits as we head to Swindon at the weekend.

Swindon Supermarine sit 11th in the league after winning 10 of their opening 21 games this campaign, eight of them at home.

Their recent league form has been a little patchy, with three losses befalling them in the last five, but they did come out 1-0 victors in their last encounter with Salisbury.

In many ways, we are the ones more in need of a result after a 1-0 loss at the hands of the Metropolitan Police. Winless in our last seven, four of those games have ended in 1-0 losses. Nothing can be criticised regarding the desire and fight of this group, but the next win is most certainly on the agenda.

One win away from home and another four at Bolitho leave us 21st in the table, but we still have a number of games in hand over our rivals, so a run of results now would stand Lee Hobbs’ boys in good stead.

Match Info

Past meetings:

We were scheduled to meet Supermarine in September, but the game was called off. This will now, all being well, be the first game between the two sides.

Travel:

A trip of just under three hours takes you up the M5 and the M4 onto the A419. Nine minutes on that road sees you through to the Webbswood Stadium.

Seats remain available on the supporters’ coach on the way up, just email [email protected] for more details!

Weather:

Rain looks very unlikely at the moment, but there is set to be a slight chill in the air as we count down the days to spring.
