Parkway vs Tiverton Town: Part Two

Parkway v Tiverton Town Town | Match Preview

By Alex Haynes

Plymouth Parkway are preparing for a festive Devon derby fixture against Tiverton Town at Bolitho on boxing day.

The Yellows have been in fantastic form of late, bringing Christmas cheer to us all. The lads secured a 2-0 away win against Hendon on Saturday to make it four league victories in a row. Toby Down and Jack Crago got themselves on the scoresheet and lifted Parkway up to 14th with 22 points.

Tivvy have had a busy December. Their first two games this month ended in defeat, but they are now unbeaten in three. They beat Bracknell Town 2-1 on the 9th and since then have drawn two in a row to Didcot and Beaconsfield respectively. Tiverton are one place below Parkway, separated only by goal difference, but the Yellows have four games in hand.

Earlier on in the season, the two teams played out a thrilling 2-2 draw. Parkway were cruising at 2-0, but Tiverton salvaged a point after the Yellows were reduced to nine men after two red cards.

Last season, Parkway ran out 4-2 winners at Bolitho. It ended 1-1 in the reverse fixture.

The good times are back at Bolitho, so come down to support the lads this boxing day as they try to continue this great run of form. All we want for Christmas is three more points.
