Kicking off the weekend in Tiverton

By Rob Kershaw

If you were looking for an entirely accurate representation of this league, you can find it in our last two fixtures.

Having beaten Harrow Borough 4-0 at the weekend, we travelled to Chesham on Tuesday and got handed a defeat by the same score line.

While the result was not ideal, Chesham’s superb performance cannot be understated, so all there is to do now is move on to the next.

In our second successive away fixture in the space of 4 days, we have a relatively short journey ahead of us as we head to Tiverton.

It is a pretty big one too. 11th meets 12th on Friday evening. We lead our upcoming opponents by five points having played the same number of games, and we’re just two points off the top 10 with as many games in hand over Merthyr.

The previous result may not have been ideal, but victory would make for a perfect weekend for those of a yellow persuasion – as well as a further step towards an excellent finish to the season.
