Parkway face Didcot under the lights

Parkway v Didcot Town | Match Preview

By Alex Haynes

After yet another postponed fixture last weekend, Plymouth Parkway are set to face Didcot Town at Bolitho on Tuesday evening.

When it comes to the weather, luck has not been on our side of late – this will be the third time that this match has been arranged. Hopefully there will be an absence of ice and rain for this midweek clash.

The postponements have not affected our form, and long may this continue. The Yellows remain unbeaten in five league games and sit in 16th place with 23 points. Out of every team in the Southern League Premier South, Parkway have played the least number of matches. To give you some context, the team one place above us (Swindon Supermarine) have played six more games than the Yellows.

Bottom side Didcot Town have only won two matches all season, the last of which was an impressive 4-2 away victory over Basingstoke Town on the 23rd of December. Last time out they drew 1-1 against Chesham United, so Parkway will do well not to underestimate the Railwaymen while remaining confident that they can come away with the points on Tuesday.

Parkway and Didcot met in the first round of FA Cup qualifying last season. It finished 1-1 at Loop Meadow Stadium before the Yellows secured a 3-2 win at Bolitho in the replay.
