Bring a mate for a fiver as Parkway face AFC Totton under the lights
Parkway v AFC Totton | Match PreviewBy Alex Haynes
After the disappointment of another postponed fixture last weekend, Plymouth Parkway will not have to wait long before the next instalment of action. The Yellows are back on home turf Tuesday evening for a midweek clash against Hampshire side AFC Totton.
Back-to-back league wins have seen us rise above the relegation zone, and due to the poor weather conditions, we have games in hand over the teams around us. The lads will be champing at the bit to resume the season as the improved performances over the last few months have now turned into wins and points on the board. Confidence is high and we are now looking up rather than down.
Our next opponents Totton are on a good run of form. The Stags are unbeaten in six games in all competitions including three in the league, most notably a 3-1 away win against Merthyr Town. They are currently occupying the final playoff spot in fifth on thirty points.
The two clubs have already gone head-to-head this season when they met back in October for an FA Trophy fixture. The Stags came away with a 2-1 win that day at the Snows Stadium.
In our title-winning season in the Southern League Division One South, Totton claimed a 1-0 victory on home soil before Parkway took their revenge by the same scoreline at Bolitho.
With both teams displaying good form of late and the stakes getting higher the more we delve into the season, we are bound to see another competitive and close match. Brave the weather and get down to Bolitho Tuesday evening to support the lads!
