Inside Parkway with Callum Hall
Callum Hall, dubbed the ‘unsung-hero’ – has been a fine addition to the squad over the last couple of seasons. His arrival would go a little under the radar but he has proven to be an integral part of the club.
Last season, Callum netted five times towards the end of the season including a goal of the season contender against Sholing FC. This season, Callum has scored 3 goals: 1 against Hendon and 2 against Tiverton in a thrilling Devon Derby. You may have seen we recently shared this screamer of a goal against Tiverton but if you didn’t…
We caught up with Callum and this is what he had to say about his start to the season:
“It’s been a tough season so far, we didn’t have a good start and we struggled to find our feet in a new league which we knew would be tough.
It’s never nice sitting at the bottom of the table! The turning point in our season was the Salisbury game I think, beating them at home and we’ve really kicked on from there and put ourselves in with a chance of getting into a really good league position if we can turn the games in hand into points on the board.
Personally, I feel I’ve kicked on again with my performances and am happy with my impact on the team, managed to score a couple goals early on which is always nice to get on the score sheet!”
Callum’s commitment shines through, as a police officer in the Dorset constabulary which is obviously not local therefore, he will often finish a night shift and drive straight to Taunton to meet the team on the coach for an away day, all with a young family!
Callum has been a rock for the Yellows – a strong and quick midfielder, never afraid to get stuck in and win the ball!
