Parkway Love an Away Day
Wimborne Town vs Parkway | Match PreviewBy Jack Hobbs
Plymouth Parkway are on the road for the second time in a row as they face Wimborne Town at the Wyatt Homes Stadium on Tuesday.
The Yellows are coming off the back of an impressive 2-2 draw away at Berkhamsted where they were under real pressure after a nightmare 24 hours of preperation.
Parkway had suddenly found themselves without six key players, with ‘Rocky’ Neal, Will Sullivan, Callum Hall, Ryan Brett, Taylor Scarff and Max Edgecombe all ruled out through a mixture of injury, work commitments, suspension and personal reasons.

Despite the adversity beforehand, Parkway earned a thoroughly deserved point on the road thanks to goals from Cruis Nyadzayo, who lobbed home his first goal in yellow, and Tylor Love-Holmes.
The latter has made a real impact since returning to Bolitho Park on a short-term loan spell from Truro City, scoring two crucial goals in two games.
Speaking on his return to Parkway, Love-Holmes said: “It feels great to be back to be honest.”
“I just want to pick up where I left off in a Parkway shirt and see where this season can take me. Hopefully I can keep scoring and playing well, and hopefully we can get some wins under our belt.

“I’ve come back into a good environment, and it seems like everyone was happy. Hopefully we can keep pushing on, get a couple wins under our belt in the next couple of games, and get out of the relegation zone.”
Speaking on the Berkhamsted result, the Truro loanee said: “I thought the game, in the first half, was a bit slow, but we got back into it in the second half.
“I thought we needed to punish them with probably an extra goal but in the end, they got lucky and scored the equaliser. I think we could have dealt with it a little better, but there were tired legs, and we had a bare 11 so it’s quite hard.
“We all just thought in our heads that we need to dig deep no matter what. We just knew that people had to step up, and a lot of them did to be honest. They’ve did really well to step up and be that voice on the pitch that they wouldn’t normally do.
“We all did really well to get back into the game. I reckon next game definitely going to be a win for us.”
Parkway’s next stop on the road is Wimborne Town. The Magpies are sat in 7th place in the Southern Premier, winning three, drawing three and losing two of their opening eight league games.
It was an even split between the two sides last season with Parkway securing a 2-1 win at Bolitho Park before losing the away fixture 0-1 in March of this year.
Speaking on the upcoming challenge, Love-Holmes said: “For me, I’m just really excited get back on the pitch and show the fans and everything that we can do.”
“We can go and get a win against Wimborne, like we should have against Berkhamsted. The fans deserve it, and I think we deserve it as well.
“I think we’re doing the right things. It’s just sometimes we make silly mistakes in the wrong areas, and we just need to cut them out.
“We are working extremely hard in training to do that. I believe the silly mistakes will be cut out and we will stop conceding goals from silly little mistakes like we have done in the past.”
Love-Holmes was recalled from Parkway towards the end of last season to help push Truro over the line as they claimed promotion to the National League for the first time.
Since then, the youngster has gone full-time with the Cornish club, something he wasn’t expecting so early on in his career.
“To be honest, it was a weird experience (turning full-time) and something I didn’t think I’d feel for a long time.”
“Winning the league (with Truro) was amazing. I had a great time. It just showed me a lot of qualities in a person (that I needed) which I feel I’ve got now, that I don’t think I had before.
“Going full-time, it’s just bit like a dream come true. It’s always what I’ve wanted to do.”
