New Signings at Parkway
Plymouth Parkway are delighted to have done some great business straight away for next season with us being able to announce 12 new signings today, below are details on all the new players joining the club for the 17/18 season:-
Aaron Bentley
Former Argyle and Truro man joins Parkway
Plymouth Parkway have today announced that they have secured the services of ex argyle and Truro centre back Aaron Bentley.
Aaron is a very good centre back and will be a welcome addition to the squad as they look to build from the back, with his experience at Argyle and Truro, he will bring great experience to the team for a young player.
Mark Russell parkway chairman said “I remember when Aaron was at argyle in the youth setup which he later went on to become a professional making 4 1st team appearances and thinking what a good composed player he looked, I am delighted that we have been able to secure his services for the upcoming season. With Aaron and many other new signings, I honestly believe we can have a big push this season to get promotion to the Western League“
Glyn Hobbs
2016/17 league top scorer joins parkway
Plymouth Parkway FC are delighted to announce that the top scorer in The Carlsberg south west peninsula league for 2016/17 season Glyn Hobbs has signed for us.
Glyn joins parkway to help his brother manager of Plymouth parkway Lee Hobbs to push for promotion to the Western league, bringing something that parkway lacked last season in a natural goal scorer.
Mark Russell Parkway chairman said “Getting someone like Glyn to join the football club is a massive coup for us in what is an important period for Plymouth parkway we’re hopeful Glyn will replicate the form he showed at Tavistock whilst working under his brother Lee and can fire us to the western league, the league title and more”
Ben Joyce
Former Swindon and Torquay midfielder joins Parkway
Plymouth Parkway have secured the service of Ben Joyce for the upcoming season, Ben who started his career at Swindon before moving onto Torquay, is one of a number of signings made by manager Lee Hobbs
Lee said “I have been working hard throughout the last couple of weeks to secure new players for the club and Ben was a player I really wanted to be part of my plans to help me get Parkway promoted to the Western League. He brings with him loads of experience and will be a major addition to my squad for this season“
Kyle Moore
Former Exeter and Truro keeper Kyle Moore joins Parkway
Kyle Moore who played 55 times for Bodmin Town last season, has joined Plymouth Parkway, Kyle who has played for teams like Exeter, Truro Taunton and Bideford brings some good experience in the last season for Bodmin and is respected as one of the best keepers in the Carlsberg SWPL
Lee Hobbs manager said, “Having managed Kyle before I am fully aware of his capabilities and ability and am delighted that he has decided to join me at Parkway“
Mikey Williams
Former Tiverton Town favourite Mikey Williams joins Parkway
Mikey Williams has agreed to join Parkway for the upcoming season, Mikey who has put in some superb performances for Tiverton over the season is sure to add some great protection in a multiple of areas.
Lee Hobbs manager said, “Mikey is a great player to have in the squad as he is left footed and can do a job for me all over the park, utility players of his ability are hard to get and i am delighted he has agreed to join Parkway“
Nick Milton
Former Torquay United and Bideford player joins Parkway
Defender/midfielder Nick Milton has joined Plymouth Parkway, Nick brings with him bags of experience and will be a great addition to the squad for the upcoming season.
Lee Hobbs manager said, “Having managed Milts before I am fully aware of his capabilities and what he’s going to offer me over a season and am delighted that he has decided to join me at Parkway“
Josh Tattersall
Great Prospect joins Parkway
Josh is a great up and coming prospect and is a player who can play in the attacking midfield role and support the strikers he has so much potential and will surely develop over the coming seasons.
Manager Lee Hobbs said, “tatts is a player I’ve watched closely over the last couple years were his goalscoring from midfield is what caught my eye he’s a young player who I have high hopes for and can easily become one of the best midfielders in the league for sure as long as he listens gets his head down and works hard he is the future of this football club.“
Ben Davies
Bodmin player joins Parkway
Having played for Bodmin all last season at Right Back, Ben is a great defender as well as liking to get forward and support the wingers when needed, he will bring some good experience to the defence and will be looking to help the club push for silverware.
Lee Hobbs manager said, “Ben is a player I trust a lot he’s a proper defender and I know he will never let me or his teammates down he’s a consistent performer week in week out and will play a big part this season in our push for silverware.“
Sam Hillson
Former player rejoins Parkway
Former Parkway player Sam Hillson has re-joined the club after a spell at SWPL team Bodmin Town, Sam has been in superb form for Bodmin last season and will add versatility to the squad
Lee Hobbs manager said, “Sam at a young age of 21 has become a senior player very quickly having won two trebles in his 5 years at this level he offers me the same level of ability in various positions which over a long season becomes invaluable to a manager.“
Luke Durham
Former Exmouth and Buckland player joins Parkway
Luke Durham is a left winger, who has played recently for Exmouth and Buckland, he has had a great season for Exmouth scoring many goals from the wing and will add an attacking threat from the wide positions.
Lee Hobbs manager said, “Luke is a player i have watched lots of times, and always admired the way he wants to be involved all the time and adds that extra dynamism from the wide areas and is a real goal threat going forward Luke will play a big part this season for Parkway I’m sure.“
Connor McAuley
Ex-Argyle 2nd year apprentice joins Parkway
Connor is a young player who has just been released by Plymouth Argyle as a 2nd year apprentice and can play on either wing and with his youthfulness will be looking to prove he has what it takes to support Parkway in their quest for promotion.
Lee Hobbs manager said, “I have had some very positive reviews on Connor and am really excited that he has agreed to join me at Parkway, he’s had a good schooling at argyle and knows the league having played 30 times for argyle last season so with myself, Karl and the senior players around him I am sure he will have a positive impact for us this season.“
