Parkway handed home tie in the Trophy

Hobbs and Co face higher league opposition once again

Plymouth Parkway have been handed another enthralling FA Trophy fixture as they face National League South Dulwich Hamlet FC in the 3rd Round with the fixture to be played at Bolitho Park.

The fixture, scheduled for Saturday 18th December would be well received by many of the Parkway faithful with another afternoon of high drama is on the cards.

The Hamlet have one eye on promotion this season and have started the season well and sit fifth in NLS, two points better off than Hampton & Richmond Borough who visited Bolitho on Saturday.

It’s certainly a new era at Bolitho Park this season with the Yellows adjusting to Southern League life after the step up in divisions. One cup competition they have got to grips with is the FA Trophy and Yellows boss Lee Hobbs is gearing up for another special afternoon at Bolitho Park: “It’s another hugely exciting Cup tie for the football club. Dulwich will be a very strong side, but we proved on Saturday we can beat teams from the NLS in one-off cup games. So, once again, we have nothing to lose and everything to gain. We are at home so hopefully we can make it another memorable afternoon at Bolitho. Myself, my staff and my players will look forward to the fixture.”

With Truro City ground sharing at Bolitho Park this season, the date of the 3rd Round fixture is yet to be confirmed as City were also drawn at home to Dagenham & Redbridge on the same weekend.

The Hamlet booked a spot in the 3rd Round draw as Tyrone Sterling hit a winner 6 minutes from time to overcome Brentwood Town 2-1. Parkway’s Jack Crago would hit the only goal of the game to seal Parkway’s passage into the next round with a 1-0 win over Hampton & Richmond Borough
