Samantha Maddock: A Beacon of Hope and Generosity in Plymouth
The Primrose FoundationIn 2022, the resilient and Plymouth-born Samantha Maddock embarked on an extraordinary journey of compassion and community spirit. She organized the inaugural Primrose Plod, an event that has since become an annual tradition, touching the hearts of many.
The Primrose Plod: The adventure began with a coachload of locals, gathered from Plympton and transported to Princetown. There, they commenced on an 18-mile journey of determination and unity, culminating in their triumphant return to Coypool.
A Charitable Triumph: The power of their purpose was evident as each plodder secured sponsors, raising in excess of £6,000 for The Primrose Foundation—a testament to the generosity and determination of this remarkable community.
A Cause Close to Hearts: The Primrose Foundation holds a special place in the hearts of Sam, her loved ones, and all the plodders. Sam’s own battle with breast cancer in 2021 deepened her connection to the cause, having experienced the “wonderful care” provided by the Primrose Foundation.
Charity Quiz Night: Sam’s commitment to this cause knows no bounds. On Friday, October 6th, at The Full Time, Bolitho Park, starting at 7 PM, she’s hosting a Charity Quiz Night to continue raising funds for The Primrose Foundation. It’s a chance to come together for a fun-filled Friday night, all in support of a great cause.
